I predict Jose will end up in Boston or Cleveland.

Carlos Rodon is opting out of his contract with the Giants.

On Sunday, the first day of free agency, Carlos Rodón officially opted out of his contract, leaving a huge but expected hole in the Giants' rotation.

Probably take 8 years to get him signed. I don't see the Sox doing it, but I'd love to see him back. Wonder what he'll get. 8/240 or higher? Is that too much?

Boras is his agent still, I'm assuming, so the asking price will be too much for too long.

It amazes me that Rodon stayed healthy all of 2022 but had an injury I believe every year he was with the Sox. It makes me think real hard about what kind of training protocols the White Sox employ. What did the Giants do and the White Sox didn't with Rodon.

Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

Twins pick up Sonny Gray's option. Do not pick up Dylan Bundy, Chris Archer or Sano.

Jorge Soler not opting out of his contract with the Marlins. Eric Hosmer is not opting out of his contract with the Red Sox.

Yankees are expected to make a qualifying offer to Rizzo.

Phillies are declining their option on Segura, exercising their option on Nola, and Eflin is declining his mutual option.

Cubs let 7 go from their 40-man roster, most notably Franmil Reyes, who they got from Cleveland during the 2022 season.

Dodgers have declined the club option on Justin Turner. Tormund Giantsbane is now a free agent.

                              Wow. Astros are ruthless.
James Click is no longer the Astros' general manager after turning down a one-year offer to remain with the club. Under Click the team won one World Series and reached another.
