Kind of expected a pitcher's duel between Bieber and McClanahan, and that's exactly what we're getting.

And just like that, Ramirez hits a 2-run HR to give the Guardians the lead.

After watching the White Sox all season, i'm starved for good teams playing good ball, and the Gaurdians & Rays provided that today.

Jose Quintana looking like his old self for the Cardinals this afternoon, shutting down the Phillies through 5 1/3.

Old school. No overpowering fastball, just changing speeds, mixing things up. In, out, up down. Keeping hitters off balance.
Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)

15 innings of baseball so far today and 3 runs have been scored, all off of home runs.

Cardinals trying to find a way to piss this one away.

And they succeeded. HBP'ed one run in, and then Segura punches a seeing-eye single to right to score two more. 3-2 Phillies, top of the ninth.

Big inning from the Phillies continues. Five runs off clutch hitting and some great baserunning.

Phillies send 10 men to the plate in the ninth and score 6. Hoskins struck out to start the inning, and he struck out to end it. Lots of damage in the middle.

Cardinals get one back in the ninth, but not enough. Phillies win 6-3.

Getting a lot of great pitching performances today, including Castillo completely shutting down the Jays for 7 innings. Hopefully they saw what happened to the Cardinals trying to protect a lead.
