Apparently he was suspended for 3 months in 2020 during the pandemic shutdown for articles he wrote at The Athletic detailing the negotiations between Manfred and the MLBPA, which was not appreciated in the commissioner's office.

Seriously, I never thought I would yearn for the leadership of Bud Selig, but here we are. When was the last time an MLB Commissioner was an improvement over the previous? I feel like you might have to go back to Happy Chandler.
