The Reds are doing a salary dump right now. Know how you tell they are? This year begins with a "20."

Hard to believe anyone, much less the Dodgers, would be interested in Heaney. He's bad. Left handed, but bad.

Story I read said they are looking for additional pitching depth given what happened to them down the stretch and feel they can work to improve him.

The Marlins bolstered their bullpen depth on Sunday night by acquiring right-hander Louis Head from the Rays in exchange for a player to be named or cash.

Head, who made his Major League debut on April 23, pitched well during his rookie season despite being called up and sent down a dozen times. He posted a 2.31 ERA, 172 ERA+ and a 0.86 WHIP in 27 games (two starts) across 35 innings at the MLB level.

Not cheap for a 5-inning guy.

Sox better not be asleep at the wheel. Tigers are a developing team and the Sox have to stay better than them.

And apparently a frontrunner to land Correa as well

With their first significant move since winning the World Series, the Braves have strengthened their catching depth by signing Manny Piña, a highly regarded backup catcher who will take some strain off Travis d’Arnaud.

Piña signed a two-year, $8 million contract on Monday. The Braves announced the deal includes a $4 million club option for the 2024 season with no buyout.

You mean an Angel don't you?

And Barrios signed a seven year extension to stay with the Blue Jays.

Passan and the others appear to be right. Free agents are signing early in order to get locked in before the lockout and potential changes to the CBA.

$21 million for a guy who has thrown 2 innings, and he was only allowed to throw fastball and changeup during those 2 innings, the last 2 years is nuts.
