Chris Sale started a rehab assignment on Thursday. Didn't see this posted thought it was relevant.

Trout will also be returning soon. Him and Ohtani batting back to back is scary ****...

Very true...but the Angels will miss the playoff yet again. I suspect at some point those two through their agents are going to request trades.

Four shot outside Nationals Stadium in Washington tonight. Game was suspended in the 6th inning as fans left the stadium and players ran back into the dugouts. Game resumed Sunday.

The world continues to lose its mind.

It won't be this year and probably not for several more. They are currently 1-game over and 6.5 games behind Oakland for the 2nd WC slot. Between now and 8/5 they play Oakland 6 times and another 11 games against Minnesota, Colorado and Texas. If they can go 12-5 they'd have to be in the hunt.

Mike Trout had a chance to get the hell out of Los Angeles of Anaheim and instead he signed a mega extension there. He has no problem with the situation there. Rendon doesn't really care about baseball as long as his paychecks are not bouncing. Ohtani is the one most likely to demand a trade, though the futility of the Angels has not stopped him from achieving international superstardom.

He's still in one of the top media markets in the world. If the Angels don't make some moves to become more competitive then he might eventually want to move to a team with a better chance to win a title. That year 3 arb offer is going to have to break the bank if he keeps this up. Angels might be hesitant to take on another 10/400 deal. That's a lot of money to wrap up in two players. So cost might simply force them to trade him. Ohtani would be just as big a star in Kansas but odds are he ends up in LA or NY long term.

                  Doubtful with their pitching staff.

Last night apparently Tatis Jr. and Machado opened up the Padres dugout so fans could run in for safety.

The Mets are 0-2 and placed their best pitcher and best position player on the IL since announcing they’re bringing back the black jerseys.

More lunacy, last night a Yankee fan threw a ball at a Red Sox outfielder nearly hitting him from the bleacher seats.

It is really tough not to like both of them and the Padres team. It is obvious why the Sox went after Machado and will forever regret trading Tatis Jr. I cannot imagine what this team would look like with him at 2nd base right now....
