  • College Softball pitcher strikes out every batter

Hope Trautwine of University of North Texas threw a perfect game 21 up, 21 down and all 21 by strikeout. Apparently she struckout the first 9 batters on... drum roll please... 27 pitches.

Hope Trautwein of North Texas threw a perfect game that outdid all the others, striking out 21 in seven flawless innings.

    Here's the final out:

Reminiscent of Eddie Feigner. His two fielders would often just take off their gloves and sit down in the grass.
Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)

We were talking about the amazing perfect game by Hope Trautwine yesterday after golf in the clubhouse bar and naturally the discussion turned to The King And His Court, what a show Fiegner would put on.

I got to see him at a Old Comiskey one time. Might have been during the break between DH or after the game, I don't recall.

We were lucky, the Court came to Thillens Little League Stadium (where I played in 1957 and 1958) every year and players got in for free if they had their uniform on. In all I saw the Court 4 times.
