I will always root for Jose, but going to Houston will be a bitter pill to swallow.

Figured he might be leaving, but this still sucks. And to ****ing Houston of all places.

IMO, this is a big mistake by the Sox. And when we see the money, we'll probably be even more irritated by this move.

I didn't see that coming, not to the Astros anyhow.
In the back of my mind I thought there was a chance he'd stay with the Sox as DH.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

            Ugh.

Well good for Jose that he's going to have a shot at a ring. But damn, that sucks.

So, does this mean the Cubs are not going to sign him?

The Sox open the 2023 season with a four-gamer in Houston.

It had to happen but still a bummer. I’m happy to see him land somewhere where he will have a chance to win.

I have a bad feeling this could deteriorate our strong Cuban pipeline. We will ultimately see, but we need Robert and Colas to pan out.

Sickening feeling. We won the jackpot by landing him in '14, had Sale as well. Managed to screw that and the rebuild up. He was as durable as they came during his time here. That will not be easily replicated. Everyone else on the team seems pretty damn fragile.

I could see Jose rebounding to have a nice 2023, but 3 years from now when he's 38? He may make Paulie's last year look prolific.

Considering he’s the only one that’s panned out so far maybe that’s a good thing

Happy Trails Jose… Thought we’d have for an another season, but didn’t pan out. Well you have joined the ranks of many household favorites riding off into the sunset to garner glory somewhere else.

Anybody got any ideas where we’re gonna scoop up a 100 Ribbies in return?

He also could turn out be like Carl Yastrzemski who had productive years at the same ages that Abreu will be in the next 3 years. Abreu is in great shape so only time will tell.

He could. I wouldn't want to bet $60 million on it though if I were a MLB club.
