Here is the list that Jerry Reinsdorf is probably considering

Chicago White Sox latest stats and more including batting stats, pitching stats, team fielding totals and more on Baseball-Reference.com

My analysis of some of the top candidates:

Jose Valentin - has experience managing in the Puerto Rican league where I believe he was a player/owner/manager

Willie Harris - one of the scrappiest players on this list which is usually a plus, but the fact that other organizations also see him as a potential future manager is a strike against him

Joe Borchard - if failed Sox draft pick Gordan Beckham can be a broadcaster in the organization, failed Sox draft pick Joe Borchard can be a manager

Brian Daubach: JR will surely check in to see if he'd be willing to work for strawberry ice cream

Tony Graffanino: was allegedly JR's favorite player when he was on the South Side, became a White Sox postseason hero in 2005

I’ll go with Chris Getz,he’s done such a bang up job in his other roles and he’d fit right in as the type the Sox want as manager.

Why not a random WSIer? We seem to have all the answers.

I'm going with Jóse Valentin. He managed our very own Fort Wayne Tincaps for two seasons, with a record of 149-144. Really close to that much sought-after .500 winning percentage.

Yup, anything above mediocrity would not be acceptable to the front office.

Esteban Loaiza would be perfect: JR loves folks who have had run ins with the law, and associated with illegal substances.

We’re here all week… Don’t forget to tip the wait staff. White Sox Improv starts at 10PM after the support group prayer session. Don’t forget your 1950’s version of a hockey helmet.

A close friend who is a long-time full season ticket holder is hearing rumors from reliable sources that there will be a change in ownership during the offseason.

It tends to make sense to me- Hahn and KW have been very quiet over the last month- I wouldn't be surprised if JR told his inner circle that if they don't make the postseason, he's throwing in the towel- the KW/Hahn/TLR team has hit the wall, and JR has never had an appetite for bringing people in from the outside- I can't picture KW/Hahn returning next season, and I also can't imagine JR bringing in the needed outsiders to turn things around- which leaves the scenario that he sells and moves on.

Might just be wishful thinking on my part.

Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)
