Very damaging day with a loss and another Guardians win. We're in big trouble.

    Does anyone believe in miracles?
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

A miracle would be Gordon Beckham spitting in the dirt around home plate to make mud, then rubbing that mud on the eyes of the home plate umpire so that he could be cured of his blindness.

Killer was probably Zavala's fly to deep left in the fourth with 2 on that Daza ran down. Didn't help that Tomlinson's strike zone was this amorphous blob that moved from inning to inning and hitter to hitter.

To say Thursday is now must win is an absolute understatement.

The team was definitely off today. That happens but it is bad for us on winning the division.

If we don’t with the division, in addition to our head-to-head record with Cleveland, its largely because we went 2-2 against Colorado, 0-3 at home against Arizona, 9-10 against KC, 2-5 against Baltimore, and 3-4 against Texas.

Pretty damning performance. Hahn and Williams have their worked cut out for them.

They've worn out their welcome along with JR.
Some new blood is needed to fix this mess.

If today’s column by Rosenthal is to be believed, it seems like TLR is more to blame than Hahn and KW. There’s no point in wishing JR, KW, and Hahn leave because that’s basically wishing/waiting for JR to pass away.

That said, I don’t think it’s hopeless; they have to make some good decisions and those decisions have to work out, but it’s not like the cupboard is bare. Just need a new manager, a LH hitting RF (Oscar Colas), a trade for a LH hitting infielder (send Burger to Colorado for Ryan McMahon), and use money saved by letting Abreu walk to sign Willson Contreras to catch.

Maybe Cleveland is peaking too early. That's about all I got.

Had the Cubs up 3-1 in the WS and choked that away. So there's a history.
Ah, you can't beat fun at the old ball park.

Sorry, but Ryan Poles has his hands full already.

Man, 1.5 games back feels like a million years ago, and yet, this deficit grew to 4 games in the blink of an eye...

Also 3-4 vs. the Angels. The only teams under .500 against which we have winning records are the Red Sox (4-2), Cubs (3-1), Tigers (10-3 with 6 left), A's (5-2), and Giants (3-0).

That 9-10 against the Royals is the sledgehammer hobble to the team. Pretty much where the gap comes from. Go 15-4, 14-5 it’s a different ballgame.
