  • *OFFICIAL* 7.16.22 Sir Lance (didn’t have) alot

If we are going to win this thing we need Lynn to come around in the 2nd half, probably needs to shed a few pounds too.
Let's get them tomorrow and finish the first half on high note.

Yup, these guys like to make it interesting don’t they. Kick their asses tomorrow and rest up for the slog to the end.

The Sox did a good job of grinding out at bats late, but too deep a hole to climb out of.

Tomorrow is a must win now. Get into the break .500 and within 3 of first. Going in 2 under and 5 back undoes everything the first 2 wins got us. Really hope Lynn finds it and isn’t just the new Keuchel

I'm sick of this .500 thing. I want us to get there tomorrow and then never look back.

Yep, it's time, 88 wins probably takes the division.

In the last six games the Sox have gone 4-2. There were four solid starting performances from Gio, Kopech, Cueto and Cease. The two failures came courtesy of Lynn. Both times he got lit up early. Maybe he came back too soon. Hitters are sitting on his fast ball and jumping all over it. Let's win Sunday to close out the first half prior to the All-Star break and take three of four from the Twinkies.

Didn't the Mets back in the 70s win the N.L. East with 83 wins?

EDIT...Just checked, the 1973 Mets won the NL East with 82 wins and went on to beat the Reds in the Playoffs before losing the WS to the A's in 7 games.

                      That's even sadder.

Ask the Manager of this team (okay, they won 90, but within the Standard Deviation):

You could even go back a couple of years, where LaRussa's 2006 Cardinals won 83 games in the regular season before winning the World Series.

That was the team I was thinking of.

                            I think I see a pattern emerging........

Lucky we're not in the East. We would be fighting Baltimore to avoid last place.
