Finally get a 2022 win against the Guardians.

    Giolito was masterful.

Also, keep giving Sheets DH starts against RHP.

Thank you Lucas! What a gem. Huge win given how last night went. My God do they make it painful in the 9th though. I preferred Graveman so was happy to see that but that last play was way too close for comfort.

That's what a leader does. After that carp loss yesterday, he comes in and keeps the door shut.

Good bounce back win. Let’s see if this thread goes as long as yesterday’s post-game thread.

Just like that, the bad taste from last night is gone. Really solid bounce-back win.

That was Giolito's best game of the season. The big thing was his efficiency - he's normally a guy that racks up a higher pitch count, but he got some quicker innings tonight and was able to get through 7 for the first time this season. The rotation has really been incredible over the past couple weeks. The last bad performance was Keuchel's dud a week and a half ago.

Offensively, great games from TA, Robert, and of course especially Sheets who provided the big HR. There was some thought that Sheets would get sent down later in the week when Vaughn returns, but it looks like he has found his power stroke. Much needed with the Sox pitiful performance so far against RHP.

In the last 10 games, I think the Sox are 7-0 when scoring 4 or fewer runs, and 0-3 when scoring 5 or more. It's a funny game, that we're watching.

Glad to see them bounce back after last night.

Here's a thought, maybe WALK Naylor tomorrow?

I wasn't really worried after last night. I think this team's mental makeup is strong, more so with all the veteran players who have been in playoff fights for two straight years. Last night sucked but I'm not surprised to see them put it behind them. Nice to see Sheets build on what he did yesterday. If he can hit for power as expected then the team will be very strong. Another great offensive night from TA and Yoan's defense is very welcome. He throws while on the move as well as any 3B I can recall. Team is just starting to wake up. Good things are a coming...

Hope VV can continue his string of good outings tomorrow and the offense goes nuts.

I was concerned after Monday's debacle but the team showed some fortitude with a nice win. Giolito with a great outing and Sheets needs to be out there against righties as much as possible but only as a DH or at first base. I'm a little concerned about Abreu, we are going to need him to get back to being an RBI machine.
As soon as Lynn returns we are going to have a formidable starting rotation, should be even better when Cueto is brought up. We need another good outing today from Velasquez and take the series.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

We all know Abreu historically struggles in the colder months and then dominates in July and August. We also know that he destroys LHP and sometimes struggles against RHP.

Knowing this, and with the lack of off days coming up, it’s not the worst idea in the world to give him a couple days off against RHP.

I missed Monday's game, but saw most of last night . love to see no errors and strong pitching, and that the regulation 4 runs was enough.

The guy isn't Barry Bonds. Yeah, he's on a hot streak, so you need to be careful. But that doesn't mean he's an automatic walk. He's not even the most dangerous hitter in the lineup (that is obviously Ramirez).

4 runs is a rout if you can field and pitch the damn ball. Spoken from a Sox fan who has experienced this phenomenon in the past.

I don't think this was mentioned yet, but that slick fielding play from TA to Harrison to Abreu to get the double play was pretty awesome. Chuck and Ozzie were commenting after the game that they don't think they'd ever seen that kind of double play before, tagging the runner out at 2B before getting the force out at 1B. Heads up play by both middle infielders.
