  • *OFFICIAL* 5/8/22 Mother of All Sunday Lineups Sweeps Beaners SOX 3 BOS 2 Postgamer

    Baseball is a funny game.

Keuchel made his case not to be DFA’d.

The Sox win on NBC, but more importantly, get a sweep at Fenway. Sure, the Carmines are struggling right now, but you can't argue with results.

Pure Sunday lineup including the 5th starter and nothing but the "backend" of the bullpen. Of course a lot of teams would give a lot of value to have a backend of the bullpen as effective as the Sox have been seeing.

Congrats on the first save, Mr. Sousa.

That was a fun weekend and great couple series in a row.

Sox go 5-0 on the road trip and we’re back above .500.

Maybe the return of Moncada and temperatures in the 70s and 80s will help score more runs on the upcoming homestand against the Guardians and Yankees.

Great weekend in Beantown with the sweep, BoSox fans on suicide watch. The pitching has been super. Over .500 again, lets hope they build on it with the homestand.

Hell yes! Beating Boston is so sweet. As others have pointed out we have seemingly a lot of positive things out ahead, including the weather and getting some guys back. Don't stop now.

It was nice to see the aggressive baserunning payoff early in the game; the cold bats still concern me, but I'll take the W, and the over .500 record, thank you very much.

Reminds me of that game in September 2005 when the scrubs of the White Sox bench beat the red-hot Cleveland Indians (whose GM would go on to win MLB Exec of the Year shortly thereafter).

Boston dangerously close to the 10 under and 0 back cutoff for being all but sure to miss the playoffs.

As usual the AL East is tough as nails, 3 good teams ahead of them who will be tough to catch, just breaks my heart.

The thing is that 2 of the WC's will probably come from the East so the Sox are probably going to have to win the Central as the other WC will probably come from the West. It is early and a lot can happen between now and October.

Yesterday definitely felt like we stole a game; today, with that lineup and Keuchel on the mound...kinda feels like we stole another. 😄

Warm weather predicted for the homestand, along with Moncada back in the lineup maybe the bats come alive.

As a victim of grand larceny as a Sox fan over the years, I’ll gladly take these kinds of pilferage after that horrible losing streak. Beating the BoSox and sweeping those Bums is the cherry on the top of the sundae.

My take is that if you hold the other team to 2 runs on Friday, 1 run yesterday and 2 runs today is that the Sox didn't steal anything, they were well pitched and well deserved victories. Sort of reminded me of the Sox of the 50s and 60s.
