Not much good to say about this one.

For the upcoming road trip, let’s hope the hitters pack their line drive bats and leave their fly out bats in the dumpster.

Luckily, I was gone and didn't witness this but I just have to wonder what happened to our great offense?

The good news is that they took another series against a very good ballclub.

But this team isn't hitting worth a damn, the runners they do get on base are being stranded.

What we saw out of Velasquez today is more in line with his entire career and that doesn't auger well moving forward. We'll see but I continue to say the Sox need starting pitching EVEN when Giolito and Lynn return.

Hope they can at least get a split in Cleveland, the pitching matchup's for the most part, on paper, favor the Guardians. (Boy that's weird typing...)

Ugly, ugly game but 6-3 on the season with 3 straight series wins, that's good.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

Velasquez didn't do himself any favors in the first inning with the walks and an error. But two of the three base hits were softly hit and it looked like Larry Vanover was squeezing him on balls and strikes. Fortunately, he righted the ship and got the game into the 5th. Tanner Banks looked good but Anderson Severino was horrible in the 8th.

Pretty much sums it up and for all that, the Sox came within about 4" of TA space from being up 5-4 before Severino gave it up. They also just missed on two sacrifice flies hitting popups instead of fly balls (about a millimeter on the bat barrel probably). If those plays had worked out we'd have seen Bummer and Graveman in the 8th and 9th, not Severino. Game of inches and they all went against us today. Should have known it wasn't our day when the Rays dinked and clunked their way to a 4-spot in the first and then TA got robbed to open the bottom half. It was a sign of what was to come.

And the Guardians lost so Sox maintain a 2 game lead to open the series tomorrow.

Completely disagree with your assessment of Velazquez. First inning was a mess but he did not get hit hard. Then he was fine.

Time will tell who is closer to the truth, his track record over a long period of time doesn't inspire confidence.

Other than that first inning Mrs. Lincoln how did you like the game?

Are augers a new Manfred marketing effort?

That could turn out to be the back end of the Sox rotation. Spinning wildly before falling flat on their face. We'll see.

2 outa tree and tree outa four and you don’t have to worry about chasing no more.

Go Sox… Enjoy your chocolate Easter bunny.
