  • A Conversation With Ed Herrmann...

With opening day tomorrow (weather permitting) I've just posted my interview with one of the most underrated White Sox catchers ever, Ed Herrmann who passed away right before Christmas in 2013. He was a great guy. I hope you'll enjoy it.

As always any comments, memories, corrections etc. are welcome to be posted in this thread.

Herrmann was tougher than nails behind the dish, pretty good with the bat too.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

      Fort Hermann.
Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)
