Offseason surgery for Grandal, Marshall

Per James Fegan on Twitter, Yasmani Grandal underwent surgery on his right knee today. He's expected to be ready to go with no restrictions for spring training.

Evan Marshall, on the other hand, will undergo Tommy John surgery next month.

The dreaded "forearm soreness" strikes again. When it happened I said that I thought he'd be out for a while if not done. At least the Sox know his status now, maybe Cordero can replace him although it often takes over a year to regain velocity.
