Sox win on Sunday while resting Robert and Eloy. Timely hitting, solid pitching. They won a road series after the All-Star break. Anyone with any grievances?

Have been watching NFL Red Zone all day but checked the final / box score.

Nice to see the Sox rebound to win a road series for a change. Especially with TLR's "Spring training/ Get-A-Way Day" Lineup.

Grandal has had a terrific season.

On to Detroit. 13 games left...need to make a run and get some momentum. Astros scored three in the 8th and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat again.

I was thinking sweep but 2 out of 3 is the next best thing.
On to Motown and the Tigers who played the Rays tough this weekend.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

It's funny how a game like this can make everything seem better . i don't even care that Houston won . now, let's win the Tigers series, and wrap up the division.

The mercurial goddess of BABIP smiled upon the Sox this afternoon, with hard hit balls finding turf instead of leather. Some nice timely hitting and a great pitching performance by Giolito. Looking forward to wrapping up the division championship this week and getting ready for the postseason.

Game recap from the Sun-Times. Giolito joins Abreu in talking about how the Sox let up after they clinched last season:

The difference being that they were on a tear in 2020 until they clinched. This year they've been treading water since the ASG.

Letting up after making the playoffs and winning the division are totally different. There is a ton to play for until you win the division. After you win the division all you have to play for is home field, when the team has a reasonable chance.
