That marquee pitching matchup fell into ESPN’s lap quite nicely.

Giolito in another must-win situation against the Indians. Last time, he went 6 scoreless. A repeat of that, in front of a national audience, is a big-time statement game.

A big outburst by Robert, Moncada, Eloy and a dominant start by Giolito definitely sends a message.

A solo home run and 15 Ks would send a very different message. Let’s hope the hitters show up thinking walks and singles.

I don't think it is a good idea for players to be looking for a particular result. Swing at pitches in the zone and try to make good contact. That's all they should be thinking about.

Fine, let’s agree they shouldn’t be swinging from their heels, trying to hit a home run every time up.

Not a big fan of this lineup. Garcia is okay, but only because he’s been hot and everyone else has been cold. Grandal/Abreu is actually worse than Abreu/Grandal because you want more slugging at 3 and more OBP at 4. RR obviously wants three lefties in a row against Bieber, who figures to stay in the game late. Abreu, Jimenez, Mazara and Robert are all going to strike out a bunch and Robert should be higher.

I do like McCann catching Lucas.

Well, that lasted all of 2 innings before going on mute. ARod is perhaps the most painful listen in sports.
