That was a statement win for our pitching staff. They all did what they needed to do, even if it was difficult at times. Let's take this series somehow.

YEAH BABY! Wooo that was a great finish. Kimbrel and Hendriks to nail it down.

Just enough O on a night when all the dinks and dunks and bloops were going the other team's way.

Just hope our Sox don't go near their Covid drenched team.

That felt like a playoff game. Tony managed the bullpen well. Even though they wobbled, he made the right moves at the right time.

The biggest thing to come out of the game tonight was Rodon looked fine...now we will see how he feels Saturday.

Solid game although the offense is still struggling.

Sox have guaranteed themselves a non-losing season.

Hopefully they can take the series from Boston with a win in the next two days.

I love beating the Beantowners almost as much as beating the Flubs, lets sweep these bums.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

Cease and Lynn on the hill give us a real chance at a sweep.

You might also say that the bullpen managed Tony well. It may finally be sorted out and ready to play some real games.

It was disappointing that both Kopech and especially Tepera couldn’t close out their respective innings, and that Bummer and Crochet both had to be summoned.

But Kimbrel and Hendriks were nails.

Fun night at the ballpark - crowd was really into it (though I could have done without the beach ball and the wave). Felt like a playoff game. I was concerned when Rodon was only touching 92 in the first inning. By the third he was at 95-97. To me, this was the only thing about this game that truly mattered.

So, you mean that the message board arm chair GMs were a little too quick to pronounce the Kimbrel trade as a failure after only the first couple of weeks? Imagine that!

It did feel like a playoff game, kept you on the edge of your seat.
I'm glad to see Rodon pitching well after his issue.

Huge play by Hernandez in the 9th to avoid the 1st and 3rd situation- good to see them win a tight game that was very important to Boston.

Arm-chair GMs have the easiest job in the world. They can just cherry pick small sample size stats when it suits their argument and then remain silent when players perform well. The Sox won and cut their magic number by 2, so they're laying low right now. I bet you dollars to donuts they'll be back to claim vindication next time Kimbrel gives up a run or two.
