That was a statement win for our pitching staff. They all did what they needed to do, even if it was difficult at times. Let's take this series somehow.

The biggest thing to come out of the game tonight was Rodon looked fine...now we will see how he feels Saturday.
Solid game although the offense is still struggling.
Sox have guaranteed themselves a non-losing season.
Hopefully they can take the series from Boston with a win in the next two days.

But Kimbrel and Hendriks were nails.

Fun night at the ballpark - crowd was really into it (though I could have done without the beach ball and the wave). Felt like a playoff game. I was concerned when Rodon was only touching 92 in the first inning. By the third he was at 95-97. To me, this was the only thing about this game that truly mattered.Last edited by Chez; 09-11-2021, 12:31 PM.

Just enough O on a night when all the dinks and dunks and bloops were going the other team's way.

It was disappointing that both Kopech and especially Tepera couldn’t close out their respective innings, and that Bummer and Crochet both had to be summoned.
But Kimbrel and Hendriks were nails.
