What I can't understand bird is why everyone forgets about Lamarr Hoyt. In five years he won 74 games, lost 49. In 83 went 24 and 10 won the Cy Young, MVP. But didn't go to the All Star Game. He should at least get honorable mention. But your list is worthy......

Very well thought out. Was just trying to expand on the top ten idea. But you took it to a new level. Thanks. Your thoughts on LaMarr Hoyt? He was one of my favorites. He did get the Cy Young and MVP in 83. 24 and 10. But didn't make it to the All Star Game. I wonder why. I mean, how many pitchers get 24 wins in a season usually. I also liked Steve Trout. He used to move quickly, like Buehrle

Hoyt had a very good record with the Sox but I left him off for the same reason I left Dick Allen off, they just weren't with us long enough to be considered an all time great White Sox player.

He was a guest of one our members for a week and we talked about the White Sox every time he checked in for his round of golf.
I also have a picture of him and my 9 year old son taken at Comiskey in 1979. He got a big kick out of it when I showed it to him and signed it and I sent it on to my son.
