I was going to post this in the game thread that was talking about Cease, but I thought it deserved its own topic. Jordan Luzowski recently did a deep dive on Dylan Cease and his improvements since last year. It’s long, but worth the read if you’re interested in understanding his progression.

I think a lot of the mechanical improvements discussed in the article, like the more consistent release point, the repeatability of his delivery, and the more efficient spin, can be directly traced to Katz. And to think, these improvements were all based on an off-season where the only contact the two had with each other was over zoom. Maybe with a normal off-season, Cease can get to point C, which for him is a TOR ace.
