    Well that was fun.

Thank you, Brian Goodwin, after Kimbrel blows the lead in the eighth.

Way too many K's. That two-week stretch coming up starting in Iowa is looming large.

Not necessarily fun but a much needed win against an inferior opponent. We've been fairly lucky this season that blown saves (or late inning leads) have turned into wins more often than not.

Glad we won, but have to repeat...karma to the ump for those balls.

'Man, Oh Manischewitz' was that a stressful game . thought that the game was lost and then bam, it's not . bullpen just seems really shaky, but i guess that will work itself out . wonder if Kimbrel was just freaked out by pitching at Wrigley again . anyway, great win.

Brian Goodwin has earned a spot here. A walk off last week and a huge HR today.

I'm giving Kimbrel the benefit of the doubt, and just hope that he continues to pitch well against teams he wasn't playing for a week ago.

That doesn't mean what happened didn't SUCK, though. Why is it that, in the only two games the Sox have looked decent-to-good on offense since the ASB, our pitching has crapped the bed? I'm glad they won this one, but the "Zavala Game" was a kick in the shorts...

Can't sweep the Flubs unless you win the first but that had me biting my nails down to the quick. Too bad for Lynn that Kimbrel couldn't hold the lead. Goodwin has come up big for us this week.

Guy sat on Kimbrel's pitch. I think it was more about them knowing him well, but it might also be that it was only the 8th and he's still adapting and yes, I'm sure there are emotions flowing. Gives him a wakeup call too. I don't mind that from time to time with good closers. The few times Hendriks has blown a save he's come back and been lights out for the next couple weeks easily. I expect the same from Kimbrel. These guys are animals and hate to fail.

Was definitely a bit tenser than I would like, but every single position player not named Zack who appeared in the game had a hit. Aside from Kimbrel, TLR made all the right calls today and it paid off. Can't really fault Tony for that one either.

Great to see the sox not go into a funk after Kimbrel popped the balloon. This could be the turn around game to begin a winning streak.

Kinbrel did get squared up real nice, prolly because they knew what he was going to throw. Wonder why that didn't work for Codi. On the other hand, Kopech got barreled pretty good too. Not we gotta worry about the 'pen and the hitting.

This one answered the question: "Gee grandpa, why don't they have Sunday double headers anymore?"
Ah, you can't beat fun at the old ball park.

I thought the Goodwin WO last Sunday was going to put us on a roll but then the Royals came to town.

Hendriks struck out the four batters he faced and Lynn also pitched great. Good to see the offense awaken late - after Hendricks departed.

I honestly am still trying the process the game today and figure out how I feel.

I'm happy they won...no that's not right... I'm relieved they won and happy the offense woke up.

But on the other hand they almost unrinated the game away TWICE with decent late inning leads.

Like my dad used to say, "The White Sox can't stand prosperity..."

But when all is said and done they won, so it'll be a good night.

                              Whew......
