Bubic not gonna throw a no-hitter tonight. Andrew Vaughn gets the first Sox hit with a towering solo home run. Leury almost goes back-to-back.

We've hit several balls hard that found gloves so far already.

Top of 4th, Sox ahead 3-0. TA with a 2 run dinger.
Now coming up to bat for the White Sox is the Mighty Mite, Nelson Fox.

Two home runs on the night significantly increases the chances of winning. Of course, it would be nice to hit a few more!

Sox hitters need to make some adjustments.

Moncada is getting beaten by changeups, so needs to learn to recognize and hit the changeups. Abreu is topping everything into the ground, so he needs to move forward in the batters box so he’s making contact when the ball is just a bit higher. Of course, that means his reaction time needs to be slightly faster as well.

If these two guys can make these adjustments, the lineup will be much more productive and consistent.

I think Moncada can make this adjustment. I’m a bit concerned, though, that Abreu is setting up further back in the batter’s box because his bat speed is declining.

Looked like Cease was arguing his case to come out for the 6th inning and the team was planning on going to the pen. Cease made his case and absolutely dominated using mostly breaking balls to strike out the side and end his night at 103 pitches. Nice outing 1 H 2 BB 11 K 0 R. He did his job.

Cease with one hit, 11 strikeouts and 2 walks on 103 pitches. He’s probably done for the night, but a quality start doesn’t get much better than that.

Not quite yet. The Guardians won last night, so it's 9 at the moment.

Even though Leury works a walk, it’s inexcusable that he was batting there. It should have been Sheets or Goodwin.
