Nice to get a road sweep. Nice to Cease, Grandal, and Madrigal all contribute. Bullpen, too.

Dinked and dunked and blooped their way to a nice fat win. Cease looked a LOT better. I expected as much and not just because he was facing the Royals. I figure nerves got to him the first time. More like that please Dylan.

Well that was one enjoyable weekend of baseball. Can we have more of this please. I love a 7th inning like that watching the Royals deflate like a pin pricked balloon. 2nd place, hot diggity do. Run about 5 more off and hit the penthouse. Sure beats stumbling around in the danky cellar.

Awesome to get a sweep, where each game script was different and there were different contributors in each one. Almost everyone on the roster had some good moments in the series. Only thing to complain about is TA’s injury, but as long as Leury/Mendick do a decent enough job defensively the lineup is deep enough to get by. Let’s hope Rodón can continue the “second time through the rotation” trend.

It’s nice to have a roster of position players sufficiently deep to overcome the loss of two starting position players (TA and Mazara), as well as its primary substitute (Leury), and still clobber it’s way to a road sweep.
Once everyone is healthy, and once we have to step down to a 26-man roster, our 13 position players should be arrayed in this regular lineup:
Robert CF
Moncada 3B
Eloy LF
Grandal C
Abreu 1B
Encarnacion DH
Anderson SS
Mazara RF
Madrigal 2B
And a bench of: Leury, Engel, McCann, Collins
That leaves 13 spots for a five-man rotation and an 8-man bullpen.
