The Sox improve to 41-24 overall.

The Sox record in games when they do not hit a home run improves to 7-18.

EDIT: I reviewed the game logs and it appears I was mistaken. The Sox have SIX total wins when they do not hit a home run.

Their run differential climbs to +106, which is the best in the majors.

Leury Garcia makes me look like an idiot for questioning TLR having him lead off. 🤪

Nice sweep. Rodon was super sharp and nasty. So much movement and he was hitting 99, Enough offense with the Sunday lineup. Got some guys some rest. Back home to face Tampa in a big series between to teams playing very well.

19-6 vs. the bottom three in the division (8-2 vs. Detroit, 6-3 vs. KC, 5-1 vs. Minnesota). Good teams beat the teams they have to beat.

Starters are now 28-11 for the Sox, and almost half the losses are from Giolito. Rodon now at 97 K through 11 starts.

I saw this tweet before the game, and it pretty much sums up the storyline of the game:

Very nice way for Rodon to bounce back after not having his best stuff in his last outing.

Should Seattle prevail over Cleveland, the Sox will have a 5.5 game lead. That means even if Tampa sweeps us, and Cleveland sweeps Baltimore, we’d still have a 2 game lead going into Houston Thursday evening.

A .631 winning percentage extrapolates to 102 wins.

Another brilliant outing from Rodon. He's gone from the outhouse to the penthouse this year. Kudos to new pitching coach Ethan Katz. He obviously is doing things that Don Cooper wasn't doing. The Sox continue to beat up on the weaker teams, even though La Russa wisely chose to rest a few starters this afternoon. The next week they will be tested with 3 against the Rays at home followed by 4 on the road in Houston. Great matchup Monday night with Lynn opposing Tyler Glasnow on the mound.

Seattle FINALLY gets the last out. Nice to see the Sox take care of business against a crappy team on the road while the TTFKATToons struggles against a crappy team at home. Should have lost 2/3.

Seattle was trying to piss away another 9th-inning crooked-number lead...
