Not bad after a rocky April.

Striking out 3 guys in a row with the bases loaded and then saving both games of a double-header will get you that.

I don't think whoever votes on these things looks at anything except ERA (0.00), K's (19), walks (2), and saves (8). Hendriks has said that he thrives on getting more consistent work, which could just be him advocating for himself and wanting to have that tough guy mentality, but it seems to be playing out that way on the score sheet. Earlier in the year it seemed like he was inexplicably only pitching once every 4-5 days or something, which meant that when he didn't come in and save the day it looked like he was a bust. Over the past few weeks he's really been in a groove pitching more frequently.

Before the Cleveland double header he told Hahn he was good to go both games that day, despite pitching in 3 games the previous 2 days, because "nobody's ever had 5 saves in 3 days before" (paraphrasing).
