  • *OFFICIAL* 5/30/21 Gio, Hamilton, Nick, Yoan Skewer Bird Kabobs SOX 3 BAL 1 Postgamer

This is a good recipe for feasting on Birds; let’s hope the Jays keep poking Cleveland.

Indians have already lost one game today and are down 4-0 in the 4th inning of Game 2. The Twins are losing 5-3 in the 8th inning. This could be a very good day.

If the Jays win game 2 over Cleveland, the Sox will lead by 4.5 games. That means they could even be swept and still would have a half game lead. On the other hand, sweeping Cleveland would put the Sox 8.5 games in first.

Way to stay focused and get the win. Gio was a pure stud ace today. Didn't figure he'd come back out in the 7th and he proved me wrong and got it done. Crochet had a nice inning too and Hendriks managed to nail it down.

Hamilton demanding his place on the team when Engel gets back. I think Mendick goes down when that happens because they do have flexibility in an emergency with Lamb able to cover 3rd.

          Great day. Great weekend.

Juan Minaya gives up a second-decker homer to Hunter Dozier and the Twins lose 6-3. The Royals have won their first series in Minnesota since 2017.

You can't ask for a better weekend.

Most of the Sox played very well (Bummer / Mercedes excluded. Yermin hadn't had a hit the last three games) and they go into Cleveland with a little cushion.

Now don't get swept, ideally get a spilt (or better) and maintain the status quo.

By the way the last time the Sox swept four games at home from Baltimore??????????? June 1956!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Indians walk off the Blue Jays in Game 2 and can take first place all by themselves with a sweep of the Sox in Cleveland.

That second game bothered me, Jays had it in hand and gave it away giving Cleveland some momentum heading into Monday. Hopefully Rodon pus a halt to it in game #1 because Lambert is really iffy in game #2, don't know what you'll get. And of course they get Mr. Beiber Tuesday night.

Lip, could Bummer's motion with a very small pivot be a big part of his inconsistency? I never understood how he could produce the velocity he does with his motion. It certainly looks like it's harder on his arm. At least Crochet picked up the slack today.
If it's up, put it down. If it's down, put it up.
