Vaughn gets hot he may carry the team until others get going again/ Nice to see Tim drive one down the line also and nice to see the Sox using Kopech more and letting him work. He needs to stay stretched out to pitch this coming Monday, so last appearance maybe tonight but certainly no later than Wednesday unless they aren't planning him going 4-5 on Monday.

Nice to see Lynn go 7 strong for the first time since he came back from his IL stint. He was brought in as a guy who was going to eat up innings, and it would really help out the bullpen if he was able to go 7 consistently.
This is the first time the offense has scored 5 runs since the 16-4 blowout a week ago, and only the second time they've scored 5 since that stretch where they put up 9+ for 4 in a row. They really need TA to start to get back on track. Hopefully the big hit to drive in the insurance run in the 7th is the start of a turnaround.Comment

At this point, Kopech’s schedule looks a little bit like the relief appearances are taking the place of a starter’s normal side work. Either that, or La Russa wanted to get the hell out of there using only 2 pitchers, and Kopech gives you the best chance of that.Comment
