    Rodon deserved better.

Both teams played well. Just wasn't our night. Getting walked off twice in three games sucks though.

I get that we’re missing two star OFs and cogs in the lineup, but our hitters have to hit better. Vaughn, Madrigal (bloop RBI excepted) , and Anderson are very cold right now. Only Moncada is worth a damn presently.

It should be incredibly troubling that the Sox could not score a run off Montgomery, a mediocre left-handed starter.

Not really. They’re not going to have batting practice games against every bad pitcher.

Except he didn’t pitch like a mediocre pitcher. His stuff was grade A tonight.

We had Chapman on the ropes. A triple play, really?!? That hurt.

That was rough. Anyone think they should have let Rodon start the 7th? That was one thing I was looking forward to from TLR....Letting starters that were rolling continue to roll. I guess he buys into the pitch count crap.

Well, maybe they can win Sunday (because they probably aren't beating Cole Saturday). Like I've said, just don't get swept make it a .500 road trip.

Marshall is a shell of himself, something is badly wrong and I don't think he can be trusted in game situations anymore.

Shame to waste such a good performance by Rodon especially considering the Yankee pitcher had a pretty high ERA.

I don’t understand why Marshall was left out there.

Kid was as sharp as Rodon tonight. It happens. Carlos and the Sox showed great character playing over Madrigal's double error.

Exactly, who thought Marshall was the guy to hold back the Yankees? He just is not pitching effectively so far.

And I hate to say it but that triple play was a thing of beauty. It felt like a very classic baseball play. Just really unlucky on our part.

Neither do most Sox fans. TLR said Liam was only going to be used if the Sox got a lead or the game went to the 10th inning.

Marshall needs to be sent to Charlotte, if he refuses to go (as is his right) he needs to be released. He's not getting better, he's getting worse.

At least he has his degree from Kansas State now.
