Terrible day all-around. We pretty much deserved that.

Not our night. Was Sano's night.

    Go get them tomorrow...

This is about as frustrating a loss as they’ve had in awhile. Had Tony not sided with the Twins over Mercedes it probably wouldn’t be as annoying

LaRussa and Hendriks both need to be a lot better.

They say "you can't win them all..." but there was no excuse NONE for losing this game tonight.

          NONE.

          Twins starting a rookie.
Lynn on the mound for the Sox
          Grab a 4-0 lead
1-10 with runners in scoring position
And get beat by a guy hitting all of .170! Not .270....170. 😡

          Embarrassing.

5th game this year the Sox had a lead in the 7th inning or later and lost.

Second time Mr. Bummer has been directly responsible.

Hope they can win the rubber game Wednesday because New York will not be a picnic.

If Giolito is pitching, hold your breath because it is a (dreaded) early afternoon game.

I'd agree with that statement. Especially our 54 million dollar "closer" although to be fair he was put in a tough spot the blame tonight falls on Bummer from a pitching standpoint.

I guess the "good news" if you want to call it that, is the game didn't go into extra inning forcing the Sox to use more pitchers in a game they probably wouldn't have won anyway given their track record under the bizarre, bastardized rules.

Not understanding why you let Bummer put a guy on first and then bring Hendriks in. Whatever the case he has been awful. There is something to be said about the energy of the team and when the manager sends it in a negative direction things like this are expected. He better get on the side of his players quick.

Tony's at the mercy of his bullpen just like every other manager. His only reliable is Kopech who's coming off TJ and can't be used a lot. Bummer and Hendriks are semi-reliable. Everybody else is white knuckle time. Time to bring up some arms and start sorting them out? Does Katz deserve the halo we've fitted him with?

Agreed, I know its early but it's hard to stomach that 54 million dollar deal for Hendriks at the moment. I watched the Kimbrel disaster on the North side with glee but its not so fun when its happening to us. Again, it's early and I can think of plenty of times when the bullpen overperformed at the start of the season and then promptly fell apart so who knows how it will all play out.

Disappointed with the fact that the Sox couldn't add on against the Twins bullpen. Still, I felt good with a two run lead and five outs to go. Hoping for a strong outing from Giolito this afternoon.

None of us knows what goes on in the locker room. The Moncada dress on the trip suggests a group who really like each other.

The chemistry on this team has seemed obvious since early on, IMO.
