Guessing this has something to do with the CDC announcement today.

I'm hoping we get tailgating back sometime soon. Now seems like a good time for the change

And in case you missed it like I did...

Updated guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 do not need to wear masks or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors, except in certain circumstances.

That series with the Cardinals is shaping up to be a good one.

Happy for the people that get to go. We can’t still with an 11 year old with underlying conditions. Hope it helps the team having fans, although I think the youth of team may have benefitted by not having the pressure of the crowd sometimes.

Illinois is moving into the Bridge Phase, or the final stage before a full reopening, Friday. I think it has more to do with that than anything else.

Are the White Sox having firework shows after the games again?

I would assume the normal promotions would return when they go to 100% capacity following the All Star break (based on the city's current reopening schedule).

Today's pregame notes contain a revision to the mask policy at Guaranteed Rate Field to go along with the increased capacity

I don't see the draw in this at all. Why would someone want to be packed in seat-to-seat with strangers, rather than have extra space around them while this lasts?

I get it, but people are sick of being separated from other people, even strangers. They want to be around people because they're social butterflies, and this pandemic has taken a toll on people who crave any and all human interaction. Everyone will tackle the return to normalcy differently.

And for those people, I am happy. I genuinely am. I hope they enjoy the games and bring home some wins for the beloved. I emailed the Sox and requested 1-2 sections for people who have kids under the age of 11 that will need to remain socially distanced so they too can enjoy the games...Call them family sections and disguise it...

I went to tonight's game and it was great to be back in the park. Great to be around people, to feel the energy of the crowd, hear the crowd, etc. The only time I had to wear a mask was walking into the ballpark. As soon as the ticket was scanned the mask came off, and most people were not wearing masks either walking around or in their seats. All of the concession stands and beer stands appeared to be cashless and the only odd thing was no vendors walking around. Unfortunately, looked like there were a couple different skirmishes throughout the park as I saw Sox security escorting a few people out. Hate seeing that, and hope it doesn't become a regular thing.
