Mike Ferrin on Twitter said the rule makes it seem like the Sox didn’t have to use Hendricks as a runner, which is not a great look for Tony. https://twitter.com/mike_ferrin/stat...237043206?s=21

This is the kind of stuff that wasn't supposed to happen with Ricky gone. Extra inning games come down to execution and our team blows at executing. Classic White Sox offense to score 9 then get blanked. Hendricks seems like a waste of a huge contract too. Not at all impressed. What a depressing couple of days.

All I can add is that the Sox are now 1-5 in bastardized extra inning games going back to last year. Fundamentals count folks and the Sox are brutal with them.
The only extra inning game they won was when Robert hit a three run home run vs. Kansas City.
Regarding TLR, I said this was either going to work out very well or be a disaster, there would be no middle ground... it appears disaster is too kind of a word.Last edited by Lipman 1; 05-05-2021, 02:12 PM.
