This is when I started to think that this Sox team was going to be special.

I was pretty sure that the Sox had another game in 1959 that they scored 11 runs in one inning. Looked it up and sure enough it was on Sept 2 at Comiskey in the 2nd game of a twi-night DH before 43,000. The Sox were trailing 3-0 heading to the bottom of the 5th and scored 11 runs on 10 hits winning the game 11-4. They also won the first game of the DH 7-2 and at the end of the night led the AL by 5.5 games. 20 days later the Sox clinched the pennant in Cleveland and were on the way to their first World Series in 40 years.

Just for fun, the total time for both games was 4 hours and 48 minutes.
