What's been everyone's experience with securing refunds for Sox tickets purchased on Ticketmaster. I've gotten the runaround (shocking, I know). Do you have to wait until the date of the scheduled game has passed to request a refund? I was told yesterday that I will be receiving an e-mail with instructions. I had tickets from Ticketmaster for Opening Day and never received any email with refund instructions.

I got my refund for Opening Day a few weeks ago, but it took almost a month from when I requested the refund. If you go into your Ticketmaster account there should be an option for My Events. You should see Opening Day on there and be able to request a refund. -
Now that the new, improved season has been announced, I'm going to call my ticket rep again. I have (had?) a 10-game package with parking passes. The last time I talked with him he pleaded ignorance, which was probably true. That was about a month ago, so I need to call and find out what he knows now.- tebmanComment

I think 90 business days is a realistic timeframe for refunds from suppliers in the event/travel industries. The fact you received your money back in a month is pretty good.Comment

I received my refund for Opening Day but that took about a full month after I applied for the refund. I have not gotten a refund for my game in May yet despite applying for the refund. The last time I checked, my games in June and July didn't even have the option yet to apply for a refund on the TM app. I think Ticketmaster is a big part of the "slow play" strategy here. I had tickets for the Giants vs. White Sox games in San Francisco this year and got a refund within a week of applying for it. The big difference there is they don't use TM as their ticket agent.Comment
