    Sox have signed Engel to a 1-year 1.375 M contract avoiding arbitration.

    Not unexpected, but also both necessary and smart to lock up the other half of the RF platoon who can also defend CF and LF at a high level as needed.

      Works for me. He seems to be figuring it out at the plate, and his defense is outstanding. A good signing.

        Who would have guessed even just 2 years ago that Adam Engel would be this good. Hopefully it wasn't just a fluke.

          He improved, but so did the Sox roster, which allowed him to bat in situations where he was most effective.

              Marshall has been really good the past two seasons. An under the radar signing that turned out great.
