I was working, managing a Chili's in Jacksonville, NC. I was alone in the restaurant as the dishwasher finished up. I stayed in the bar watching the final few outs and then stepped out side and let out a huge "WOOHOO! YES!!!".

Not many Sox fans down that way but I enjoyed the moment immensely. Obviously it was just after midnight my time...

Wow - 15 years! What a fun ride that was in 2005.

I was at the United Center. I think I was nervously telling my friend how the Astros rotation was set up to come back from a 3-game deficit if the Sox didn't nail it down in 4 until the last out was recorded.

Willie Harris scored the go-ahead run as a pinch hitter, I do believe. Earlier in the '05 season he had been sent down to the minors and he told the Chicago media on his way out that they had not seen the last of Willie Harris. How right he was.

Great memories from 15 years ago of a team that will go down as one of the best in the long history of the White Sox. They culminated an almost perfect 11-1 run in the playoffs with a shutout victory - ending an 88-year drought. Hail to the 2005 World Series champions, and to Sox fans everywhere who reveled in the moment.

I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what to do. Converted and I drove 30 minutes to the United Center, watched a few innings, and decided to drive back to Indiana. We missed most of the game while driving, but found our way back to my dad's house in Munster, IN, to catch the final outs. Crazy fun night.
