  • Jose Abreu: Sporting News Player of the Year / Rick Hahn Exec of the Year

Congratulations, Jose! Only the 3rd Sox player to win the award after Early Wynn in 1959 and Frank Thomas in 1993.

Yeah this is awesome news and well deserved. Jose was clearly the best player in the league in terms of his relative value to his team. Averaging an RBI a game is simply nuts.

Well deserved to both. Jose carried the team at times. Now I want Rick to perform more miracles in this off season.

Really happy for Abreu, after putting up some very good and consistent numbers for bad teams since he joined the Sox he was finally rewarded with a trip to the playoffs and Player of the Year, up next, the MVP trophy!

He was under-appreciated by some fans heading into this year. I'm glad he's getting the recognition for an excellent 2020 and I'm glad he's finally getting to play on a winning team.

Jose is a constant year in year out. This year we got to see what his RBI output surrounded by a batting order supplementing his could yield in wins and power. It was a nice streak there when the stars aligned and South Side Hitmen II were spanking the crap out of the ball.

Jose deserves this big time. Now let’s get a Mgr
that can formulate this offense and put together a lineup card worth a damn.

Congrats to both! Now Hahn, this is the biggest offseason of your career - ace it and go back-to-back with this award.

KW never won this, right? The Indians GM beat him in 2005.

Abreu also won the Players Choice "Outstanding Player Award", He's the third White Sox to receive the award Frank won in 1993-94 and Dye in 2006.

Robert was named a finalist for the ROY, and Renteria a finalist for manager of the year.

That would be pretty funny if Renteria wins.

And Jose for MVP (other finalists are LeMahieu and Jose Ramirez).
