Nothing in this for the Cubs today, except for the chance to screw us. Wonder if the other teams in the AL fight aren't going to be happy with this.
      I want my $2

Sox aren’t coming back in this one.

We can still get the A’s or Jays if other games break right.

That was intentional! Suspend Rodon three games!

Stiever doesn't have a major league quality arm. Even Lopez, who clearly isn't long for the league, is a better option than Stiever.

Cubs took care of business and gave themselves the opportunity not to play for anything today. Meanwhile, we can't get it done vs. a B squad.

Oakland and Minny are the only options.

If Sox lose, Indians lose, Yankees lose, and Jays win, Sox are 4th seed with the Jays coming here.

Edit: and that would have been the outcome if nothing changed, but the Orioles just tied up the Jays.

Minny is our best bet, since we can't win and hope for the Astros. Biggest thing is while we're not going to get a favorable matchup either way, we're avoiding the almost automatic two game exit facing Cleveland aces would throw us.
