This one really hurts. That division title is slipping away fast.

Why is Ruiz in there? What the **** is Ricky thinking? This team might wind up finishing third

Can’t blame Ricky for this one. He got the heave-ho earlier.

        That substitution was on McEwing.

Still, Ricky misused Colome to set that up, and Foster’s been ridden pretty hard.

Ricky needs to go. Colome not coming back out is inexcusable. Also, Angel Hernandez can kiss my ass.

Why do you give the hottest hitter on the team that? He's meaningless at first base if you walk him. Terrible!

Renteria said Colome had back spams, which is not great

Scott Merkin just tweeted that Colome had back spasms and wasn’t able to come back out.

                They should have walked Ramirez.

Well...Lopez, Crochet, and Engel looked good. Engel needs to start from now on. Lopez might actually be useful, which I would not have thought a month ago. Crochet only has to throw strikes and at 102 mph, he’s borderline unhittable.

But watching Angel Hernandez never fails to raise my blood pressure. Just completely disgraceful that this guy has been allowed to make a mockery of the highest level of the sport for almost 30 years now. The living embodiment of why automated balls and strikes are necessary

This team has been resilient all year but they need to find another gear now. Not a good time to free fall. I wanted to turn it off so many times but I kept reminding myself that this is what I wanted: meaningful late season baseball. And to think they've already clinched a postseason spot and this still feels so devastating. Ugh.

Look at the bright side. If they choke, Renteria’s likely to be fired.

And all of you who wanted the Cub series to be meaningful are getting your wish.

Offense gotta wake up. If I told you the Sox were going to give up 1 run through 9 innings with Lopez starting you'd expect them to win. Offense has been in a funk most of the last week+. Need to start scoring some runs.

When Ruiz came out, I left the room. I told my wife what the final score would be, and unfortunately I was right. Of course, you don't have to be Nostradamus to see that one coming. So, Mendick goes to Schaumburg, and this guy comes up. Great idea....

Oh well, they are a year ahead of schedule.

Unless he quits, Rick Renteria is going to be this team’s manager for the entirety of its competitive window. Organizational lithification at its finest...
