I have not seen anything on this site yet, forgive if it's a redundant post.

The Barons have been sold to Diamond Baseball Holdings, an ownership group that has other teams (link)

The Baron will continue to be the AA affiliate to the Sox; I honestly do not know if there will be any changes.

Interesting. I assume this is a cost cutting move. Sox can focus on the players and not on the business side. I assume most minor league teams don't make much if any money but maybe they do and the offer was too good to pass up.
