Sox today announced that all minor leagues players and staff would be required to show proof of vaccinations AND booster before they are allowed to participate in spring training.
They are the first organization to do this.
Says if anyone refuses to do so and they are a player they won't be allowed to participate, if they ask for a release it will not be granted. Basically they will go on an inactive list until they do get the shot(s).

Well, that should throw a wrench into the negotiation works. I'd be stunned if MLBPA didn't demand that this be subject to negotiation.Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)Comment

Edit: They did it last year pre-booster and got 100% compliance according to the article I read.Riding Shotgun on the Sox Bandwagon since before there was an Internet...

I misread it. I thought they were requiring it of ALL players at spring training. As Emily Litella would say, "never mind."Nellie had more doubles than strikeouts every year from 1950 to 1963, and more triples (12) than strikeouts (11) in 1951 (682 plate appearances.)Comment
