Delmonico always seemed to have a good approach at the plate, even if the results weren’t always there (and he was a lousy fielder). A good approach is teachable; let’s hope Delmonico has good teaching skills.
EDIT: And being a LH hitter might mean he’s just a bit more effective in teaching young LH hitters in the Sox system like Montgomery, Kath, and Hernandez.
